Air Conditioning Repairs — Homes and Businesses

We carry out air conditioning repairs on every make of wall, cassette and multi-split system, whoever fitted it. We track down the actual cause, tell you what it will cost, and only go ahead once you’ve agreed.

System not working? Call 01202 402200

If the display shows an error code, write it down or take a photo before you call. It speeds everything up.

Common Faults We Fix

Water leaking from the indoor unit

A blocked drain, a split or poorly sloped drain pipe, or a failed condensate pump. Turn the unit off and put a towel underneath until we arrive.

Fan running, but no cold or warm air

Often a refrigerant leak, a failed outdoor fan, or a compressor that isn’t starting. We test pressures and electrics to pin it down.

Ice forming on the pipes or outdoor unit

A sign of low refrigerant or poor airflow. Switch it off and let it thaw, because running it iced up can damage the compressor.

Error codes and flashing lights

Each manufacturer uses its own codes for sensors, communication faults and pressure trips. Knowing the code points us straight to the likely culprit.

Rattling, buzzing or vibration

Loose panels, worn anti-vibration mounts, a damaged fan blade or a failing motor bearing.

Won’t switch on or trips the power

A failed control board, a blown fuse, a remote or Wi-Fi module that has lost its connection, or a fault that trips the circuit. Don’t keep resetting a trip. Call us instead.

How Our Air Conditioning Repairs Work

1. Tell us the symptoms. The make, what it’s doing and any error code. We’ll confirm the visit charge when you book.

2. Diagnosis on site. An F-Gas certified engineer tests the system and finds the cause, rather than guessing.

3. A clear price. You’re told what’s wrong and what the repair costs before any work is done.

4. The fix. Many repairs are finished on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the lead time honestly, because some manufacturers’ parts can take weeks.

Repair or Replace?

Most faults are worth fixing. We’ll give you a straight answer when they aren’t, usually in one of these cases:

►The system runs on the old R22 refrigerant, which can no longer be used to top up

►The compressor has failed on an older unit, and the repair costs more than half the price of a new system

►Parts are no longer made for that model

If replacement makes more sense, see air conditioning installation, with single rooms fully fitted from £1,299. Once it’s fixed, an annual service helps stop the same fault coming back.

Commercial Air Conditioning Repairs

When the system in a shop, office, salon or server room stops, it costs you money. Tell us it’s a business when you call and we’ll prioritise getting it running again, including a temporary fix where possible while parts are on order.

We repair wall units, ceiling cassettes and multi-splits from Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, MHI, LG, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, Midea and more. All engineers are F-Gas certified, as listed on the F-Gas Register.

Air Conditioning Repair Questions

Will you repair a system another company installed?

Yes. Many of our repair calls are on systems we didn’t fit, including ones where the original installer has stopped trading.

My system keeps needing a re-gas. Why?

Because it’s leaking. Topping it up only buys time. We locate the leak, repair it, pressure test the pipework and then recharge, so it stays fixed.

Is it still under warranty?

Check your paperwork first. If it’s recent and still covered, the original installer should be your first call. If they won’t help or have gone, we’ll take it on.

What should I do while I wait?

Turn the system off at the remote if it’s leaking water, icing up, making a grinding noise or tripping the power. Leave the isolator switch alone unless it’s safe to reach.
